Lori's Biography

Lori grew up in Hull, Georgia. Born in Athens (Clarke County), Lori lived in Hull until she and Chad married in 1994. As a teenager, Lori actively served in the ministry as a counselor at a Christian camp, Camp Maranatha for many years. She was also active in the ministries and missions at her church, Joy Baptist. During this time she went on her first mission trip ministering to the Bahamians.

Having a deep desire to help people, Lori entered the field of public safety and became one of the first full-time women Paramedics in Madison County. She joined Chad in teaching other medics at the state level. In 1996, Lori moved with Chad to Macon, Georgia. Soon after, she transitioned into administration and became the first woman to hold the position of Chief, Director of Emergency Medical Services in the county she served.

Several years later, Lori felt she needed to spend more quality time with her family and began a successful career in Real Estate. During this time, Lori was led to begin a speaking ministry focusing on women.

Presently Lori actively serves on the ministry speaking circuit and has spoken to women both near (locally) and far (internationally). She enjoys local mission projects as well as foreign mission trips, and is co-founder of Rejoice In Hope Ministries. Lori continues to serve Camp Maranatha by speaking to teenage girls during their summer camp.

Chad and Lori were married in November of 1996 at Joy Baptist Church in Hull, Georgia by Pastors Jeff Appling (Grove Level Baptist Church) and Steve Stephens (Joy Baptist Church). Their daughter (Camryn) was born on December 23, 2001 and their son (Andy) on December 21, 2005. Camryn and Andy are considered the best Christmas gifts ever, taking second chair only to Christ Himself.
