We Believe

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Holy inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word as revealed to man.

God

There is only one true living God. He reveals Himself through the Holy Trinity of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.

Man

Created by God, in His image, man through his own choice sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. With a sin-nature, man is destined to spend an eternity separated from God unless he accepts the gift of salvation.

Salvation

Through salvation, sinners can be redeemed and begin a converted life of following Christ. Salvation is offered freely to al who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as the once and for all sacrifice for their sins. Jesus was crucified on the cross, shed His blood for the sins of the world, and died a sinner’s death. Jesus was resurrected three days later and ascended to heaven. Those who accept Christ’s gift through believing in his death, burial, and resurrection, repent, and confess that He is Lord will be saved. This is only the beginning, but is certainly the foundation for the future. Salvation is eternal, but every Christian is charged with growing spiritually in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Church

Every believer should join and be actively involved in the ministries of a New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ. As the Body of Christ, with Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone, the church has a responsibility to equip and edify believers to follow the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

Baptism and The Lord’s Supper

The two ordinances of the church is Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism involves immersion of the believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and symbolizes the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It also symbolizes the believer’s death to sin, burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in the life of Christ Jesus. Communion involves partaking the bread and fruit of the vine, memorializing the death of Christ and anticipating His second coming.
